CARAS is a software application produced by our partner, P&B Computers. The software facilitates staff scheduling and is catered towards the health care sector and has been prominent within this market since 1988. The functionality of CARAS is to enable health care providers to maintain accurate records for both front office and back office functionality, simplifying their office processes.

CARAS Live.
We Solve IT exclusively provide a hosted Citrix environment for CARAS users. This service has significant benefits for the end user which includes:
- Remote access to your CARAS database from any global location, subject to comms connectivity.
- Your data is fully accessible on an array of devices including standard laptops and desktops as well as tablets and android phones.
- Virus protection is managed at the central server meaning that the CARAS data is fully protected from malware.

- Scalable – grows as your business grows without the need for complex inter-office networks.
Costs of CARAS Live.
As We Solve IT and P&B Computers are two separate entities the costs are broken down into two parts. The software licensing is charged as per your agreement with P&B Computers. Our charges are based on £30 per month per user account* (volume discounts are available so please call to discuss).
*The price is based on the agreement of paying via Direct Debit and being within a contract. If the contract expires and is not renewed the monthly cost will default to the out of contract price of £30 per user account per month.
Optional Extras
- CARAS with Microsoft Office – Includes full access to Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel & Outlook. - £14 extra per user account per month.
- Additional Mailbox – You have the option for a companywide mailbox or a mailbox add-on for user-accounts - £6 per mailbox per month.
- Hosted Accounting Software – We can host your accounting software, using your existing license(s). This is accessible for up to 10 concurrent users. - £50 per month.
- Sophos Endpoint Protection – Our preferred antivirus solution is Sophos for reasons outlined here. As a healthcare provider you are responsible for ensuring your data is secure, and with Caras Live, data stored on your remote desktop is protected.

Almost since the first day we opened our doors we have been installing, supporting and fixing Microsoft Small Business Server. You could say it has become almost a friend to us and now that is has reached the end of the road we're rather sad to see it go.

BizLive Packages
BizLive Office Package - £49 per user per month.
The BizLive Office Package is the most popular package which offers a Citrix hosted desktop solution with a Windows 7 experience. It is accessible internationally from a multitude of devices including iPad and android, and has a guaranteed uptime of 99.9%. The full Microsoft Office Suite is included which offers the latest versions of Word, Excel and Outlook etc. Each user is given 8GB File Storage & 8GB Email Storage (additional storage can be discussed if required). Full access support is included in this package and additional applications such as accounting software, stock management software, Law Management Software etc. can also be hosted and integrated on request.
This solution is perfect for start-ups and small to medium sized businesses. It is a great ‘Disaster Recovery’ strategy and negates the need for in house IT expertise and the expense of running, updating and managing IT systems. It also promotes Bring Your Own Device (BYOD).
BizLive App Package - £34 per user per month.
The BizLive App Package is designed for businesses who have their own server(s) and network as well as Microsoft Office Licenses and/or other software applications. The organisation might have multiple branches which require synced access to their applications. The business will be looking to host their own application in a cloud environment but are limited due to the upfront capital expense required, bandwidth restrictions or limited Citrix knowledge.
BizLive App Vendor Package - £25 per user per month.
The BizLive App Vendor Package is offered in partnership with third party software development companies. Whilst the software development company provides the usual support for their solution the database is hosted in the BizLive cloud. The frontend access to the software is facilitated via Citrix or 2X Remote Desktop depending on the nature of the product.
